This year's two-day Portland Pirate Festival is going
to be bigger and even more fun! Where else can you see
red coats chasing pirates, ship-to-shore cannon
battles, and 30-foot tall sea monster slides? This even
is strictly for families, kind of like a renn fair
crossed with Disneyland. The festival gates open at 10
AM each day, Saturday and Sunday Sept. 22 and 23rd, in
Cathedral Park in St. Johns, Oregon.
The "Lynx," a replica 1812 rake-masted schooner will perform ship-to-shore cannon battles with Portland's famous re-enactors from B.O.O.M. while Captain Bogg & Salty and other musical groups entertain all day long.
