Early Hucklescary Finn themes emerge in extremely funky band

In 1989 just out of college Matt Giger and I joined Matt Proctor's project and became Lickdestatic. We played a sort of Talking Heads influenced punk funk including Chris Kennedy's keyboards and solo trumpet. I contributed a couple of original songs, including Bunny Bowl (I'll talk about that one another time) and Scabby the Seaman, the first song to be covered by Pirate Jenny.

So here's a scan of the cassette insert from Lickdestatic's four-song EP. You can see that Scabby the pirate was having his influence on Lickdestatic.
