Portland Pirate Festival coming this fall

If you love pirates and you live in the Portland area you'll want to mark September 23, 2006, on your calendar. It's a day of pirate revelry for the family down at historic Cathedral Park under the majestic St. John's Bridge.

The "Lynx," a replica 1812 rake-masted schooner will perform ship-to-shore cannon battles with Portland's famous re-enactors from B.O.O.M. while Captain Bogg & Salty and other musical groups entertain all day long.
